IT Security Analyst Hiring In Redlands California
Overview
Under supervision, assists with the development, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive security policies, procedures, and guidelines; facilitates risk assessment and works to raise risk awareness. Exercises no supervision.
Examples of duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Researches, analyzes, and stays current with emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices;
Recommends proactive measures and mitigation strategies;
Ensures compliance with relevant data protection and privacy laws;
Evaluates and recommends security related products and services;
Provides security awareness training and guidance;
Monitors network and system activity to identify and respond to potential security incidents and breaches; conducts regular security assessments and scans;
Assists in the design and implementation of security solutions;
Generates and maintains documentation related to IT security;
Assists with special projects as needed; and
Performs related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education:
Equivalent to an associates degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in computer science, information systems, or a related field. For degrees obtained outside of the U.S., an official equivalency evaluation is required.
Experience:
Fours years of experience working with IT security.
Licenses and Certificates:
Possess, or ability to possess and maintain, a valid California driver’s license at the time of appointment.
Certification is CompTIA Security+, Certified Info Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CISM, or similar is preferred.
Special Requirements:
Essential functions and duties require the following physical abilities and work environment:
Ability to work in a standard office environment; ability to travel to different sites and locations;
Regularly required to talk and hear;
Frequently required to stand, walk, and sit.
Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, grasp, reach, and perform repetitive motions;
Frequently required to lift up to 10 lbs. and occasionally up to 25 lbs.
Occasionally required to work near moving mechanical parts and in outdoor weather conditions.
Required to successfully pass a full Police Department background investigation.
