As the band announced on Monday on the social media channel Instagram, Ansel, who had been a member of the band around frontman Hartmut Engler since 1993, will leave the group.
In a statement the band released on Instagram, which the management confirmed, Ansel wrote: “Dear PUR fans, today I’m announcing my departure from the band. The reasons for this are complex and the process to get there is lengthy.”
Private or health reasons played no role in his exit.
